Should I be THIS tired??

I have a whole new respect for teachers, which is really hard because I already respect them A LOT. Still, I'm here on the computer because I am just too tired to rake my leaves. Why am I so tired? Well I ran a voting booth, helped write 15 campaign speeches and helped make 15 campaign hats, counted the ballots, caused two volcanic eruptions, and help 15 people with line dancing-before 11:30. I'm exhausted even though I only work about 3 and 1/2 hours a day. I don't have any idead how full time teachers do it.
BTW- golden oreos won out over animal crackers 11 to 4, and Christmas may come 4 times a year, depending who gets elected. Oh and we'll be eating a lot of corn and ice cream.Okay, I'm off to rake the leaves now...

Very Vivacios. You should feel vindicated in your "Volunteering" effort (teachers don't get paid enough. VICTORY to extra holidays.

Hey- you may be tired, but you helped teach four year olds how to blow things up...be proud, you've molded these children into future pyromaniacs!

We made fake vocanoes erupt using baking soda, food coloring, vinegar, and dish soap. If Claire gets that to catch fire at home w/o and help she's some sort of science genius!!!!!

Yep, teaching takes a lot out of you, no matter how long you do it.

But if we're having a contest, I averaged 11 hours a day teaching 5th grade last year. Of course, I had the luxury of coming home to peace and quiet, no responsibility, as Jeremy sort of took over with cooking and cleaning. I admire you, Meredith. Keep up the awesome work!

And yes, you make a difference. I still remember my preschool teachers and ALL of the songs they taught me. Now I'm a music teacher and el ed teacher, and I believe wholeheartedly their sacrifices for me influenced my choice for this career.

A 40-hour workday? That IS working hard. Thank you so very much for setting the record straight about what REALLY working is. If, on the other hand, your ineptitude with the English language (one parenthesis?) has inhibited your ability to contribute a coherent post and you are, in fact, working only 8 hours a day, you are among those categorized as not knowing "how hard real life is". I usually don't address folks directly, but your insensitivity, exacerbated by your ignorance, is significantly compounded by your lack of integrity. If you are going to post such baleful remarks, at least have the fortitude to attach your name. On the other hand, if you so chose, you COULD keep your social, intellectual and grammatical ignorance to yourself, and not inflict the rest of us with your presence – or the lack thereof.
